Gesturi: heart of Marmilla
Gesturi, a small village in the Marmilla region of southern Sardinia, is the birthplace of Jaras artisanal honey. Nestled in a pristine hilly landscape, at the foot of the Giara di Gesturi basalt plateau, this area is known for its rich floral biodiversity and for being one of the most suitable areas for the production of quality honey.

We transform the work of bees into Sardinian agri-food excellence.
Here, the bees collect nectar from wildflowers and aromatic plants typical of the Mediterranean climate, such as asphodel, bramble, thistle, eucalyptus, and sulla, creating honeys unique in their aroma, color, and flavor. Each Jaras jar is an authentic expression of the Gesturi area, where Sardinian beekeeping tradition meets environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

We produce our honey using artisanal methods and without pasteurization to preserve its aromas, enzymes, and properties. Our Millefiori, Lo Speziato, and Abbamele honeys express, in every teaspoon, the profound connection between Gesturi, its hills, and Sardinian farming culture.
